There are numerous non-negotiable habits of successful people who are working their way up. They are finding ways to make things happen, learning from their mistakes, and moving forward.

These are the people you can learn from, the people to envy. They are forming the habits that are taking them towards realizing their dreams in life. You can learn from them either in person or through other means, e.g. their YouTube channels. Either way, you can learn a lot by reviewing the habits that they have developed on their way up the ladder of success.

1. They Establish Goals For Their Life

They have established short-term and long-term goals. They know what they want and where they are going and are willing to take the necessary actions to reach their goals.

Goals provide you with a target, a point of direction, something to shoot for. When you stumble off track, and you will, it provides you the compass that you will need to get back on track. Why? Because you have somewhere specific to go. Sadly, only 3% of the world's population have established goals.

2. They Set Themselves Apart

Successful people associate themselves with other successful people or those who are climbing the success ladder.

The old adage, “If you want to fly with eagles, you don’t swim with ducks,” identifies the importance of surrounding yourself with the right people.


“Surround yourself only with the people who are going to lift you higher.”

 3. They Absorb Positive Material

The advice that I took from a self-made millionaire turned my luck around when I was producing the documentary, THE DREAMS LIVE ON  film project. If it were not for his advice, I would still be waiting for the funds to produce the film.

These people seek out and read inspiring or motivating stories online rather than saturate their minds with negative news stories, television or read gossip/entertainment  magazines.

4. They Exercise Their Body, Mind and Spirit

A simply daily walk is considered a good exercise and can conjure up a wealth of inspiration and a new and fresh life perspective.

Exercise pumps blood to the brain and activates neurotransmitters, which produce the serotonin and dopamine levels needed to stay at the top of your game. You want to always operate at your peak performance.

Exercise helps you remain alert, maintain a good memory, and sharpen your cognitive skills.

Meditation is also a form of exercise that is good for the mind, body and spirit.

5. They Do All That They Can to Focus on The Positives

Life is challenging, but they understand that there will be situations that might appear to be negative. However, they learn how to focus more on the positive, and believe that there is a silver lining in every cloud.

Successful people are not constant complainers but show appreciation for the good things that they have. They express gratitude for their life, health, family, God, opportunities and everything else that they have been blessed with. Complaining absorbs energy that can applied towards something positive.
